The most striking and impressive thing about the couple is how completely tied they are to the ‘place’ and Sangiovese particular to Pacina. They speak about ‘Pacina’ as if it is a family member, or even the matriarch of the family. The convent on the estate dates back to around 900 A.D.. Giovanna is the third generation to care for the estate, and together with her husband Stefano who dedicates all of his time and passion in the vineyards and cellar, they also produce olive oil, Vin Santo, Chick Peas, Farro, vegetable and fruit gardens, as well as an agriturismo for guests to come and stay and enjoy the peace, beauty and awe inspiring history of the estate.

Nose/ Palate:  The Rosa is pure Sangiovese and dark pink almost orange in colour. The nose is subtly floral, with a nice suggestion of fruit and some nuttiness. The palate is super fresh and vibrant – lots of refreshing zingy fruit but really well balanced. It drinks almost like a light red and works well with food though is still quaffable.
